I shot a couple does recently and before I could recover them coyotes helped themselves to the hindquarters of each. The next day I happened upon a buck fawn bedded next to a logging road. As I walked closer I expected him to bolt but he couldn’t. Coyotes had eaten large chunks of his hindquarters but somehow he was still alive, barely. With coyote sign everywhere, deer in my neighborhood are in trouble. I plan on turning my attention to coyotes.
