Season Reports

Season Update, Jason Lewis, 12/3/2013

This season has been trying, on and off rut activity and very nomadic bucks roaming on and off many of my properties with little to no consistent patterns. My out of state hunts have been slow, in Illinois I know EHD,CWD and over harvesting have played a role in seeing less deer on camera and from the stand. With the last cold snap we’ve had, I finally have some slammers showing up on the food sources we’ve left, mainly beans and food plots. Giving it another whirl this weekend and on into next week to see if I can cash in on one of these slobs before Christmas! This southern boy will be cold with 11 degree temps trying to self film and bow hunt but isn’t that the price we pay?!!

Filming in cold weather! You gotta love it! Just did some of that yesterday in 5 degrees, with 20-30 mph winds. Were else would you want to be than up in a tree?
