Season Reports

Oh How Things Change!

Well I’m still at it here in Ohio but man I should be done.  The end of October and the whole month of November where alot of fun.  But wow how it changes once you get into December when you only hunt with archery equipment.  The first pic is a buck I call splits I only seen the deer once this season from the stand but he was chasing a doe and know way of stopping him.  The second deer is a buck I have been after for two years and on the first week of season almost had him but swirling winds tipped four doe’s off and he stopped at 50 yds.    Saw him the next evening and have never seen him since.  I ended up getting some trail cam pics on October 6th and thats the last I have seen the deer all year.  The next deer is a 6 year old that I call Wacky and i’m yet to see this buck out of the stand this year.  These are some of the only pics I got of the deer in daylight all year.  The next deer is a deer I call the mega 8.  He is a deer I hit back on October 29th but right as I released he started jogging and I hit him all the way back into the hind quarter.  Well the good thing with this deer is I have seen him five more times from the stand this year and almost had him one evening, but he turned around at 35 yards and went back.  The last deer is Droppy a four year old buck I have been passing for two years now.  Well go figure I get the deer to within 20 yards and I shot right under him.  Think I dropped my bow to see where I was going to him him.  Well in between all this I did manage to shot a nice one in Illinois.  But for right now I will be watching the cameras and glassing every chance I get waiting for one of these bucks!
