I wish I could say I had some mature bucks around to chase in late bow season here in Michigan, but the best I found was a 2 yr old 8pt, so with plenty of does locally here, I took advantage of our late antlerless firearm and dropped this doe with my Ultimate (Johnston) Muzzleloader. Easy 70 yard shot so I took her at the top of the neck… More good eating ahead! Also looking forward to trying some new sausage, brat, snack stick, & venison bacon recipes!! Happy New Year everyone.
