My son Tyson and I have been literally living in the mountains bowhunting for whitetails since August 30th. We have had one shot opportunity on a big Idaho velvet buck only to catch an arrow deflection. Numerous bucks have passed under my stands that I’ve passed up as I’m holding out for a few specific deer including one 160 class 5×5 that Tyson and I had at 80 yards on Memorial day. Archery elk is now open along with bear season. We will keep everyone updated as our season progresses. Our Nextbuks are making us earn it but this is what we expect and live for!
