| What a awesome trip we headed out around noon on Friday to meet up with owner of Lone Wolf Treestands Jared Schilpf at the Lone Wolf head quarters. All I can say is that man is a class act showed us all around the head quarters. Also went over all the new design of the platforms for 2011 which are sweet. He also showed us the new web site and some gaint whitetail mounts along the way. Thanks Jared for the tour and showing us the new line of the best stand on the market. After that it was off to Iowa we got there around 9:30 or so checked into our hotel and went grabbed a bit to eat then crashed out. Meet up with the land owner the next morning went over the properties and started walking. We have some good stuff to hunt here in Ohio and I have hunted the last four years in Illinois but I have never seen deer sign like that. Rubs the size of telephone poles, trails that looked like someone had been riding dirt bikes down them. The best part of all we were picking up sheds like it was nothing. We walked from sun up till sun down 579 acres and I can tell you I have about 5 or 6 stand sites picked out that are unreal. Come on November because I cannot wait! |
