I’ve documented in some earlier posts and videos that I’m killing off my switchgrass out back this year so that I can replant it next year (in a different variety). So as a cover crop this year, I put in soybeans, and they’re doing really well. My smaller plots are Frigid Forage Plow Down Clover. The deer seem to really like it all. It’s been really cool watching about 10 deer a night out back. Here are a nice group of bachelor bucks. Jacob’s getting pretty excited for the youth hunt next month!
There’s a pretty strong 6-point gene in the herd around here…lots of 6 point racks, even on the older bucks.
