Season Reports

Got To Keep On Keepin On – Again

This year has been pretty much uneventful for me so far with only a couple deer encounters to my credit. I’ve never had such a horrible season in my life but I think things are about to change. I’ve learned they ussually do when you keep your chin up and keep on plugging away. My friend Mike just got back from hunting my Northern Minnesota property with both good and bad news. First, Mike saw several bucks in and around my food plots during good shooting light. One buck worked a scrape for a long while and showed all signs of being pre-rut crazed. Unfortunately Mike hit a nice buck, probably high, and couldn’t recover it. This buck went down in history as being the first lost deer on my property in the ten years I’ve owned it. On the lighter side, Mike found a huge five point shed, with a broken drop tine, that matched to an equally impressive other side would go high into the book.

The bucks are starting to really tear it up with scrapes and rubs popping up everywhere. With cool weather and a little luck I think we’re going to start seeing some big boys fall on the Blood Brothers website. I expect nothing less from our talented and dedicated members. Good luck gang.

Greg
