Early Doe Season Success in Michigan

I took my son, Jacob, out for Michigan’s 2-day early antlerless season this weekend. What a blast! In between the off-and-on rain showers, we were treated to amazing sunsets, small bursts of fall colors, sparring bucks, and two nice does for the freezer. I shot the first one Saturday at 180 yards with my Ultimate Muzzleloader. Sunday’s doe was only 70 yards so I took her through the neck and dropped her where she stood. Awesome weekend with my son in the farmland of southern Michigan.
