My story continues to build with the big 6 I’ve been after here in Michigan. Last evening I was disappointed to already see him up and on his feet as I started in to my spot. He walked right in front of my stand as I stood helpless about 150 yards away. He’s shown in daylight 3 days in a row now but I couldn’t get out to hunt him until last night. He’d never come out that early so he duped me again. As I stood there trying to figure out my next move, I ended up taking that opportunity to hang another stand on the other side of his bedding area…something I could not get away with unless I knew he wasn’t laying there. I think the light rain helped dissipate scent as well. It doesn’t help to be a bit lamed up from stitches in my back…making climbing, etc a bit difficult. So the games continue…
