It’s been a tough but fun season so far, and things got better the other day when I scored on my last night in Ohio! Overall, I had some pretty good sits. Deer activity was good. Unfortunately, so was some local illegal activity. It added to the stress as I had my truck broken into last year in Iowa and certainly didn’t want it happening again. But all’s well that ends well. This was a nice buck to bring home with me. I got a few nice, mature bucks on camera during my 5 days down there. It was a short, easy shot of 15 yards and the buck only made it 40 before piling up. Given my bad back this year, I’m glad I didn’t have to pull him up the steep hill I was on! Good eats ahead, this one’s going in my new pressure cooker!
