Bear Apprentice for Jacob

kids bows - youth bows- bear apprentice

I believe kids will take care of things better when they invest some of their own money, so my son, Jacob, and I made a deal and together we bought him a fancy new youth bow. He’s now the proud owner of a Bear Apprentice courtesy of Jim Benton’s Sportsman’s Attic in Wayland, Michigan. Jim spent time setting Jacob up with his new weapon and he’s already whackin’ bulleyes. Sportsman’s Attic is a really cool place! Jim has a bunch of stellar mounts in his archery shop, including two fighting polar bears!

Jacob’s setup is now a 20″ draw and 27 lb. pull. This bow adjusts all the way to 60 lbs, which is good because I can tell I’ll be cranking up the poundage very soon. The draw length has a range of 13 inches. It won’t be dropping deer this fall yet, but I can see it being on stand with us next fall!
