I recently spent the week in Louisville at the 2016 ATA Show (Archery Trade Association). I spent most of my time helping out one of my clients, Mountain Mike’s Reproductions, in their booth. And what a booth it was! Mike (Bartholdy), the founder/owner, built an awesome booth from reclaimed redwood. It definitely served as some inspiration for the garage and office/man cave addition I’m putting on my house these days! Mike started the company with his do it yourself european mount kits for deer and his product line now includes several species and an awesome line of country home decor.
The ATA show went well. There are some really cool products hitting the market this summer. I was really impressed with Hooyman Saws new releases, including a battery-powered telescoping chainsaw! Their blade redesign is going to be second to none as well…really cool to meet Hooyman’s new owners and see how they’re improving on what was already an awesome start by Andrew and Bill Hooyman, who’ve been supporters of ours at NextBuk for several years now.
Hi Mountain Seasonings has an awesome new product I’ll be trying soon as well… a complete kit for making venison hot dogs! Those of you with kids can appreciate the need for these in the home and their kit contains no MSG or nitrites, something that’s important to me and my family.
Under Armour has some more awesome clothes and boots coming out too. I enjoyed speaking with one of the founders and learning more about what they’re doing there…really cool company!
